The waterfall originates from the Kirindi Ela stream, which flows down from its starting point at an elevation of 940 meters on the Kuttapitiya Mountain.
The cascading point of the waterfall is within the Kaluwaramukalana Jungle, and it eventually flows into the Denawaka River and then the Kaluganga River in the Bambarakotuwa Jungle.

How to Get There:
If you’re traveling from Ratnapura city:
Take the Balangoda road to Pelmadulla and join the Pelmadulla School road.
Continue via Narangoda to Kiuriwandala, and you’ll be able to see the fall from near the Kuttapitiya tea factory.
Alternatively, if you’re coming from the Ratnapura – Pelmadulla highway:
Drive about 600 meters before the Kuttapitiya junction and turn left onto the Kuttapitiya road.
