    • From Nawalapitiya: If you’re coming from Colombo, take the route via Avissawella and Ginigathhena to reach Nawalapitiya. From there, hop on the Dolosbage bus to the starting point of the hike. The journey takes about an hour.

    • From Gampola: Starting from Kandy, head to Gampola. Public transport is available from Gampola to the mountain.

  • Hiking Experience:

    • Begin your hike at Maryville Junction. You’ll pass a Kovil and follow a concrete road toward the mountain.

    • Traverse a tea estate, and as the route narrows, continue on a well-defined footpath.

    • Enter a small forest with pine trees, and after about an hour of trekking, you’ll reach the first viewpoint. The scenery here is breathtaking.

    • Most hikers stop at this viewpoint, but the true adventure lies ahead. Continue to reach the summit.

    • The terrain resembles the Horton Plains, with Mana trees and Savanna-type plants.

    • After approximately two hours of hiking, you’ll stand atop the majestic Kabaragala, greeted by awe-inspiring views.
